Ok this has been awful i've been back an forth so many times... radian, regent, ect ect... Allie is about to out grow the scenera ffing and rfing by hight, i though potty learning would give us a 1/4 inch but not really. she needs a new seat with in a month or two. She still has about 1 -1 1/2 inchs in the uptown so that's good. i THINK i should get a radian for her to use leave abby in her radian, and allie in the uptown in other car... then when either abby out grows the radian or allie out grows the uptown (hopefully a year or more give or take) buy a parkway (pray they still have them maybe get one when they are clearanced) abby in parkway full time age 6, allie has a radian in both cars.... hopefully she'll fit till age 6 or so then austin will be 10 and most likely not need his parkway (get a cover when they are clearanced) let her use the parkway till it expires when she's about 8, if she still needs a parkway then she gets abby's for 2 more years when abbys about 10!!! LOL got it... then i can still sell the scenera with about 6 years left on its, the uptown with 6 years, and the radians with about 3-5 years each on them ...
Now IF we deside to have more kids this whole thing is going to need to be rethinked!!! LOL

That's a lot of thinking! :p I have to go through the same process though, especially when we bought ALL new seats last summer after a minor accident.

The first seat I bought was a AO 3-in-1, before I found this site and discovered the many reasons it will NOT be "the only seat you'll ever need"... But when I decided to put my then-4 yr. old back into a 5 pt. harness, I chose the Radian, and rationalized that, when the 4 yr. old outgrows the Radian (around age 6-7?), the younger one would be 4-5 yrs. old and could move out of the AO into the Radian. Then I bought PWs for my middle two children, 7 and 9 yrs. old, and rationalized that the 4 yr. old would need big sis's PW in a couple of years, so that wasn't a waste for the 9 yr. old to have a $100 booster for maybe 1 or 1.5 more years until she passes the 5 pt. test for the adult belt. And the 7 yr. old is the same size as the 9 yr. old, so he may outgrow his around the same time. But his seat could always be a spare, or I could choose to sell it with several years still left before expiration. ;)

Heaven help us if we were to have another baby-- we don't have any more seats left in the van! It would be a fun excuse for both a new vehicle *and* a new set of seats for the wee one, though! :p
