So I made a comment on the youtube video after seeing the commercial with the 3 boys in the back seat that clearly need to be in a booster.

This is the reply I got

You know I usually do not respond to negative posts but I just wanted you to know that the law in CA is 6 and 60lbs so the boys were well past that. In our state it is higher and they are past that too. Durring the shoot that was looked into and talked about. So there was responsibilty taken.

WTF!

:jaw: So is this Subaru replying to the comment?

I'm assuming that's going to be the mom making that statement, but if it's subaru then I am very disapointed in my vehicle's manufacture.

Yeah they meet the law, but meeting minimums doesn't mean it's not needed

I can't get over the idea that a family like that would chose to have a car like that. Just imagine the fights and squabbles with a 3-across like that...

I'm not sure where you're going with this statement but as someone who drives a subaru and has numerous 3 across situations I'm slightly offended. Just because there are three children involved doesn't facilitate the need for a large vehicle.

I mean think about all those activities and trips and the gas mileage for one.

No offense was meant, as I wasn't going anywhere with my statement. :sorry!:

So did they take into consideration that states like my own are 7 or 8 (I can't remember which) year of age for boosters.

If the commercial was shot in California, that's probably all they cared about.

I have a friend who does PR/marketing for Kia. I'm going to email her right now to tell her to PLEASE consult with me if she ever uses kids in a commercial.

Never mind the seatbelts don't fit those boys well. The law says it's okay. Never mind them laying all over the backseat with belts out of proper, SAFE position while they sleep. The law says that's okay. And never mind the projectiles laying in their laps.
