Ok, let me start by saying, I am still really liking this seat. I think Graco did something really well here. I am NOT saying this seat will meet everyone's needs (far from it).
I am posting this to help people gain knowledge on how this seat operates so in a car seat check you wont be puzzled by much... cuz it really is a different convertible seat.

Earlier I kept saying it was sort of a box when people asked if it'd puzzle well next this or that...

Shell height at the highest head rest position (3) for rear facing is 24 inches... It may look a bit different, don't let the picture fool you!

This is probably stated in with the stats sheet but I was there. This is the 3rd position harness slot measurement without the infant padding.

Ok, ya ready? Here's where I want comments and opinions and such!

My car is pretty much on extremely level ground!

Bubble... seat in 3rd recline position...

Measured in the headrest while in the 3rd recline position.

Bubble... seat in 2nd recline position...

Now, I know Judi and I had talked quite a bit about not being able to quite get 45* and keep the bubble between the lines. And granted as i messed with pressing the padding flat and such it was between 43 and 45*. But Judi reminds me now that she couldn't get 45* lower where the noob would actually be laying...

Here's the infant padding. I think you can almost even see in the picture that the padding in the upper most part is not as thick as the rest...

Just resting on the padding at the bight...

This is the number I found very very interesting... And I want opinions... Would this in theory totally open up the noob's airway? Between that number and the 80's shoulder pads going on it seems like that head wouldn't even be able to THINK about slumping anywhere...

What it comes down to is that I want brand new squishy baby pictures in this seat! lol My friend is due at the end of this month! And I am working on getting pictures of a really cute 6 month old in it with infant padding shortly!

If you made it this far... you rock!

Awesome pictures. The height then puts it right around the new Britaxes. Shorter than most.

What app are you using? Mine sucks, it does everything backwards. So I'm telling parents 30-45 and it's showing me 45-60.

You should just be able to flip your phone over and it'll work. So walk to the other side of the car seat and try it. That's what I have to do sometimes; I just have to keep flipping it until I can make it work. :)

Nah, it's weird, it doesn't like that. I always flip it around trying to get it to read something else. It's also just a confusing app to me, I can never remember which tool to use, and it's not as clear as hers.

Awesome!! More of the reasons for me to get one... since I have many kids that could benefit from this :)

Let me start by saying, THANK YOU for all the great pics youve taken!!!:D:love:

I want this seat!! It may be a beast and square but you only have to wrangle the base to install instead of the whole seat. I think thats what I like about it the most. Its so hard to squish into my envoy (probably even harder in a small car) and bend my body around a big seat to push and squish where I can to install. You set the actual seat down, install the base and then put the actual seat in. Im also in love with the recline while installed feature. I swear this seat is cozy cline + nautilus!

I'm going back and forth on this seat.

I've got an 8-passenger Pontiac Montana and it would be installed behind the passenger seat.

I've heard people saying that it pushes a child's head out, when FF. Is this true/that much of a concern?

I've got a Symphony 65 e3 sitting in my trunk, unopened - debating on whether to keep it or not.

I tried a few free ones and gave up and bought this one for a whopping $0.99 lol. It's called, "Clinometer-level and slope finder" it's by Peter Breitling. I am very pleased with it.

Someone mentioned the recline being done on the seat to get the right level. I really like that. I wish this was the case with more seats. I know there's a few, or at least similar. It very convenient to install a seat and then adjust it to level instead of like most other grace infant seats where your adjustment is on the base and your leveler is on the seat... Brilliant (not).

I hate getting a great install, then the angle is off and you have to install all over again. Or dd takes a trip in it and gets major head slump and it needs to be more reclined. The recline while installed is going to be priceless to me.:thumbsup: You can install it once and play around and see which recline works best for you and your kiddo.

if I'm correct, I think the recline settings for forward facing can't be used after 40lbs... at that point, it has to be completely upright...

I also am not crazy about 12" being the max slot height for rf... long torso'd kids just aren't gonna get to 40lbs rf in this... heck, I think only the leggy ones will.

Remember, the straps need to be at or below the child's shoulders rear facing. So if they have a 15" torso and they have more than 1" of shell above their head (they should at 24" for rear facing shell height), they can still use it rear facing. The straps will be at or below.
