3 radians across in Chevy Impala

I have a 4 (40lbs) 3 (29lbs) and a nb child and I need 3 seats to fit across my 2010 Chevy Impala.

I have looked at different seats but everyone is recommending the sunshine radian collection.

Would 3 across with 2 ff and 1 rf fit?

Also if the radians didnt work w/ 3 across what other seats would work for all 3 kids w/ 2 ff and 1 rf.

Also what are some of the safety issues with the radian as I have heard they have had some strap issues.

Thanks for your help in advance!

I think we have another thread going for you, right?

Also what are some of the safety issues with the radian as I have heard they have had some strap issues.

As far as the strap issues -- there are two concerns. The first is regarding the SuperLATCH straps, which is easily avoided by using seatbelts for all installs. Don't use the LATCH and there won't be a problem.

The second is that a few people have had a problem with their harness adjuster being stuck open. I would say that's a more unusual problem than the SL strap issue, but since it does exist, I would say just to be very diligent about making sure the girls' harnesses are staying tight (that the harness adjuster is retracting to the down/locked position) and if you notice a problem with them, report it to NHTSA and call SK immediately. There has been no recall on this issue and I haven't heard a report of it in a while, but if it is an ongoing problem NHTSA needs to be aware so that a recall can be issued.

I'll add that I have a Radian that I use daily, and have had zero problems with it. I do seatbelt installs (it's in a non-LATCH position) and have had no problems with the straps loosening. My kids RF to the limits, so I just moved an almost-45lb not-quite-4yo out of it and a 33lb 2yo into it; sometimes a 32lb almost-5yo borrows it. Mine is an 80SL but your kids would probably be fine with the 65SL.

There's no difference in shell size between the three models, the difference is in the interns of the seat and therefore its weight limits. The 65SL FFs to 65lbs and RFs to 40; 80SL and XTSLs FF to 80lbs (though most kids won't make it past the 65) and RF to 45lbs. The XTSL has headwings, whereas the other two models do not.
