DD1 in her new Parkway SGL

I bought a Parkway SGL from a member here and it came today :D DD1 has outgrown her TB and still rides in the Oobr in dh's truck but I needed another highback for my van. I really like this booster, it provides a great fit. She is tall & thin and the Monterey was too wide. She loves it! She immediately noticed how cushed the seat was  We are not using the slideguard.

Yes! Initially she was not impressed with getting red (she wants pink everything ) but I unwrapped it today she was very surprised at how much she like it. Its nice and narrow, I can't wait to try it in a 3 across. I do hate how it has a 40lb. min. though:(

wow! I'm amazed the shoulderbelt fits so well... must be because she's so tall! I'm glad she's loving her new seat... it looks great!

Does she like the head wings on the Pkwy more than the TB? My 6.5yo is riding in a TB in dad's car and she hates the darn thing, but is smaller (44 lb, 45 in) so it fits her SUPER. However she dislikes it because she is still harnessed in a Regent in my vehicle, which she HUGELY prefers. :)

I think the headrest on her TB bugs her, it seems to be constricting, and like she can't rest her head at all, I would LOVE a Pkwy SGL to latch too, since dad will never remember to buckle it when empty!! I am curious also, since you are not using the SG clip, on the new PW, they don't have the cloth crotch cover there so is it just an empty hole there where the SG clip goes??

Weird question I know! But I cannot see ANY boosters in person here except the TB- even if I drive quite a bit!

Thanks!

She doesn't care either way on the headwings. I chose not to use the sg clip because my dd1 refuses for one and secondly, shes almost 8y/o and over 50lbs. so its really not needed :twocents:

Well, I've been pondering what booster to get for Leah soon (soon is a relative term, of course, she's got tons of room to grow in her Go and her Frontier, lol), and had kind of ruled out the PW SGL...but now it's back in the running

Oh absolutely, I wasn't asking about whether the SG clip was needed- just wondered if it was an empty hole in the seat when you remove it? If that makes sense! In the pics I've seen of the old PW SG, there is a cloth piece that covers the SG crotch strap so it would just be covered if you didn't use it, this one doesn't have that, it's more like a harnessed seat where the crotch buckle comes out. That's all I was curious about since I don't plan to use it either if I would choose the SG.

She looks great!
