Question Rear Facing a Radian in a 40/20/40 seat

I have a 1999 Dodge Durango (and no manual). It has three rows and I have her in the middle seat of the middle row. I cannot get a decent install and not have the steering wheel touching my nose outboard (and i'm only 5'2") so this seems like the only spot. The seat back DOES NOT lock back, it is the kind that flips forward to make quick access to the back. Is it ok to have the seat in that spot?
Thanks

I have a 2000 Durango, and it's the same as yours. My daughter was rear facing in that center seat for 4 years :) Dodge does not prohibit it, I remember searching the manual for that. Have you installed the Radian center? I needed 7.5 twists of the buckle stalk to make it work (no more than 3 is allowed). But, my seat also scoops down where the Radian boot touches (damage from a previous seat), so that may be why. But yes, it installs very reclined outboard.

I did have to twist it the full three twists, but it is a great install. Thanks so much. She will be 4 next week and this was an early gift and she wants to go for a ride so bad!
