Question Quick questions re: safety...

I just wanted to make sure that my set up in my 1997 Mercury Mountaineer is safe...

I have my daughter (6m, 18.5 pounds) in a rear facing Myride65 in the center, with my son (5yrs, 45lbs) in a graco high back turbo-booster right beside her. The armrest on my son's booster kind of goes under my daughters seat, but does not push up on it or anything; it's like a puzzle piece that just belongs there lol. Is it okay like that? It does not bother my son at all and he loves sitting right next to his baby sister. I know I could always move my daughter over to behind the passenger seat, but I got the best install in the center and know that the center is safest.

Thanks!

Does it affect her install at all? If so, then they need to be one on either side. If not, it's fine to puzzle seats together.

As long as both seats are installed independently of each other, that's just fine.

Buckling your son's booster may be easier with the seats separated, however, and your daughter is VERY safe in her RF seat, so (in my opinion) the difference between center vs. outboard would not be worth the trouble of scraping up your hands to buckle your son.

I have small hands so I don't scrape (hubby does) at all and it's not a pain for me. I just wanted to make sure it was okay. My daughters car seat installation is not affected by my sons booster at all. the closest place to get a car seat check is over an hour away so I at least wanted to ask here. Thanks a bunch!
