The Puzzle Thread

Hey ya'll. We don't have a puzzle thread but we have lots of members that are curious as to which seats "puzzle" well with others. This will help members find seats that might work in 3 across situations or if they want both their nuggets next to each other. please say which seats (not abbreviations), and which car this is in (make/model/year). Pictures would be awesome too!

I'll start.

Radians and the Marathon/Boulevard/Decathlon65 all puzzle very well when they are facing the same way. 1987 Volvo 240.

The TF and whatever this infant seat puzzled nicely in my 1997 subaru, both rearfacing.

The radian XTSL also fit next to the Truefit in my jeep, both rearfacing. I had the TF in the center.

A bit repetitive, but:

RF Wizard (like Marathon or Boulevard, for those who haven't encountered the now obsolete Britax Wizard) next to RF Radian (in '96 Corolla).

I'll suggest an additional bit of information for this thread, namely combined width of the two puzzled seats, from widest point to widest point -- this would give people an additional criterion on how well the two seats mesh.

The Wizard plus Radian combination measured just under 33" (saved over 3" compared to just adding up the separate widths of the two seats).

I believe these two seats puzzle equally well FF, but I didn't do a complete install that way.

I think this thread is a great idea -- hope it grows into a useful resource .

The Radian and MyRide puzzle nicely when facing the same direction.
Does that flared-out side of the MR (the part with the cup holder) end up crowding the child in the Radian? I was looking at a MyRide at BRU today, and was wondering if a child in a neighboring Radian would actually bump into that part of the MR?

No. Ds actually really like when dd was riding in the Myride we borrowed from Jess. It offered cupholders for both kids. ;) I've thought about one for the noob so ds and dd could have cupholders for a while (the baby won't need them).

I will do some "testing" tomorrow with Big Kid, Radians, Truefit Premier and Snugride 32.

3rd Row:

*These are all VERY tight puzzles and would be useful in many narrow seating situations*

MyRide (center) puzzles with Radian (driver), Avenue, CA, Coccoro (passenger) all RF
FPSVB driver outboard with a RF MyRide center
RF Coccoro center with a ProSport (harness mode) passenger outboard
RF Coccoro center with a RF Radian (driver)
FF MyRide (center) with RF Radian (driver)
RF or FF Titan (center) with RF Radian (driver)

2nd Row:
Monterey (driver) and Nautilus (center)
SR35 (center) and Nautilus, LATCHed (passenger)

There's probably more, but I can't remember them right now.

My kids in the Radian on the "bottom" have never seemed bothered by the cupholder overhang. Includes older, larger 3-4 & and smaller 5yos, who all certainly speak their mind, lol.
