Frontier85 height

What is the height on the top slot of the Frontier85? I am thinking about getting one for DS. He is almost outgrown the Nautilus and he still doesn't want to sit properly in a booster. I have tried for 2 weeks while waiting for my new chest clip to arrive. He likes to bend over and pick things up off the van floor, lean over to drink a drink in the cup holder. He sometimes moves around so much he gets the seat belt off his shoulder.

The top harness position on the Frontier 85 is about 19.5-20". How far are his shoulders from the top slot of the Nautilus, and how old is he? Sounds like he's definitely not ready for a booster, yikes!

He is 6.5 and will be 7 in July. He has about 1/2 an inch I think. I would have to look again. I know he is not over and still ha some growing more but not a lot. He has also been asking to ride in a booster in my car all fall. I decided to give it a try when he chest clip broke and it hasn't gone well. I don't want to spend that kind of money on another harnessed seat but he just doesn't want to sit properly for me.

What we've gotten for DS is a robot claw/extension gripper. Here's what I'm talking about:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Robot-Claw-Power-Hand/dp/B000M7MY28"]Amazon.com: Classic Robot Claw Power Arm Hand: Toys & Games[/ame]
He uses it in his harnessed seat so he can reach things that fall on the floor. I'm sure it would work for booster riders too. It can be a projectile, but is really light, so I wouldn't be too concerned. It helps with hand eye coordination too. :)

I might try that as well, thanks.
