Before you hit play, though, I warn you that the beginning can catch you by surprise. It's a really great video that makes the point we try to make with parents of bigger kids, though.

It's awesome! I had only one issue with it, and that was saying that most kids are eight before they reach 4'9" or 80#. Well 4'9" at 8 years old is off the charts for height. A 4'9" ELEVEN year old is over the 50th percentile. A 4'9" 10 year old is over the 80th percentile for height. An 80# 8 year old is around the 95th percentile for weight.

Really, a child is more likely somewhere between 10 and 12 before they reach that height/weight.

I agree... but it's the best I've seen, since the US seems in love with the age 8 thing.

It's incredible! The last scene... I'm over the moon you get to 'see' the outcome for the child. Seriously, this is the best video I've seen yet.

Good video- I think my kids will be in boosters till high school! My 6.5yo is only 46 inches so 4'9" is a long ways off!

Thank you for posting that video! I have friends that have 8 year olds that do not pass the 5 step test in adult seat belts. I shared this video with them and some other friends with younger kids. I agree with a PP- it's great to see the possible outcome for the child. Hopefully it will make some parents stop and think.
