Retiring my SR32 -Feeling a little sad.

I love the infant carrier so much. My DD (15 months) falls asleep in almost every ride, and when I need to make quick stops in a couple of different places, it's so handy to be able to take the seat out of the car ( the minute you unbuckle her she wakes up and then turns into a CRAB. I am gonna miss it so much. Just thinking about getting rid of it, makes me wanna cry ( we aren't having any more kids and the seat was in a minor crash, and although the insurance company wouldn't replace it saying the seat is still good, I don't feel comfortable about it). I think I might just take it to the BRU trade in event, so they can throw it away instead of me, I KNOW I would cry

Here's DD the day she came out of the hospital, and then today one last time before we say bye bye.

It looks like she has some more growing room, at least an inch. If she has more than an inch of hard shell over her head, she has some time left. You may not have to say goodbye to it yet (unless you are concerned about it being in a minor accident).

Yeah that's the problem. I wasn't too worried and kept using it, but after reading this forum for the past month, I know getting rid of it is the right thing to do. We got her a MR65.

and you shouldn't use the harness pads... they didn't come with the seat... aftermarket products are a no-no.

You can sell the cover, infant headrest and the canopy. If it was in a crash, no matter how minor, you cannot sell the harness straps, buckles, base or LATCH straps.
