Booster for Grandma's car? Or...?

Sanna is starting gymnastics classes shortly after she turns 5 (in two weeks!). My mom will probably take her sometimes. It's about two miles from her house. I need to figure out what to do about a seat for her.

The current set-up:
Main car: Nauti and Marathon (rf for Karl)
Secondary car: Marathon (ff for Sanna) and Roundabout (rf for Karl)
Spare Scenera

She has outgrown the Scenera (shoulders over top slots) and I really don't want to use it for a primary seat, especially rearfacing since it is a PITA to install. A harnessed seat won't stay installed in my mom's car, and I would have to be the one to install it. It is winter, and I'm really not thrilled with having to move seats. Also, un-installing it to come home might be problematic.

Would a booster be okay? She's about 34 pounds (maybe slightly more, she suddenly seems very heavy). She gains weight slowly, and doesn't seem to loose it, even when she gets sick. It seems like this might be a good time to start booster training. Obviously if she didn't sit properly, we'd ditch it. It would just make my life so much easier if I could have my mom take her to gymnastics or library time without a great deal of carseat juggling.

Is there an obvious (and inexpensive) option I'm missing? The Roundabout will need to be replaced soonish since Karl is almost at the 1" mark.

Turbo Booster. She's old enough, tall enough, and over the minimum weight. It fits little kids very well and is very user friendly.

My MIL is asking the same thing - she wants a booster for her car. Olivia has pretty much outgrown the ETA. I'm so hesitant to put her in a booster though - it scares me. She's in a Regent in my car.

So you'd recommend the Graco Turbo Booster?
