Booster did not go well

But, I think I know what I'll do in regards to the harnessed seat situation.

IN the booster, he was tired and floppy. He kept twisting his hips to one side, so he could rest better. So no, not ready for the booster, not even as a temporary fix until the cast comes off his arm.

However, I'll just put my youngest ds in the radian, and my 4 year old with the broken elbow in the true fit. With the one piece belt in the TF, I can pull that side out as far as I need and slip his cast through it, and put his sling back on after that (hopefully the sling will be off soon, it's more for comfort now than anything).

At least I tried the booster and found out safely, that he's just not ready!

Glad that you found a solution.

FWIW when the time comes, not all boosters are the same. James was the same way as your son with his Turbobooster. He could never seem to get comfy enough to get the proper recline for sleeping. He was a bobble head and always trying to lean his head on the van door so I was always bugging him to sit up. We got him the Monterey and instantly the problem is fixed. He can sit upright, his head reclines back a bit into the head rest. Done. Zzzzzzzzzz.
It's just a matter of finding a good fit for him when he's ready.

It was worth a try. I immediately ad thought of the TF and its continuous harness as well when I first started reading the other thread, but I hadn't noticed you had one and then it seemed like the TB would work so I forgot all about it. Glad you have a seat that might work for you! :) You should be able to prop a pillow or blanket under his arm once he is in the seat and take the pressure off the sling so he is more comfortable, as well.

MIL had her arms broken recently and she wore the slings in public even after she didn't need to because if she didn't, people kept bumping in to her.
