Peg Perego compatibility stroller

I'm probably going to buy a Peg Perego Aria twin stroller. Per a few "official" websites, it looks like the Peg Perego Primo Viaggio infant carseat is the only seat compatible.

Are there better websites that would list if there are other seats compatible? I was hoping to buy a Chicco or Graco seat.

You can "nest" a Graco snugride 22 and chicco keyfit in an Aria (the 60 portion on an Aria twin) but neither will click in. You can call Peg and request a universal adapter strap which attaches to the seatbelt system of the stroller and utilizes the seatbelt path on the car seat to secure the seat a bit more than just nesting it. Honestly, the answer to your question is yes if you're willing to live without 'the click' that so many parents seem to need. I'm a rebel, I don't need a click and I don't even need an adapter strap, lol. Nesting is good enough for me. :)

Unless you're going off roading (which, in that stroller, you're so not), then other seats will work fine. It doesn't need to click in. If there weren't another sibling there possibly pushing on it, I wouldn't even get the strap. Since there is another sibling, I'd ask PP for the (easy to use) strap just to make sure big brother/sister doesn't try to send baby toppling.

Thanks. This stroller I am buying is a used one--the previous owner said they bought it new in 2009, and looking at the pictures, it doesn't look like it's the 60/40 design, but the 50/50. Does that make a difference in whether the Chicco or Graco would fit?

Yes, it is my understanding that they changed to the 60/40 design to fit car seats. On top of that, I looked at the 60/40 in 2008 when I was double stroller shopping, so if they bought a 50/50 new in 2009, it was an old model and probably deeply discounted. Just an fyi, in 2009, they made some improvements on the single, so that may have been true about the double too. Not that there was anything wrong with the 2007 and it really depends on one's own priorities what they consider a significant improvement. But I wouldn't count on the car seat fitting the 50/50 model. Will they let you try it?
