Adding a bench seat to a van question

The mom I'm trying to help, that's expecting twins making them an 8 passenger family, was wondering if the captain chairs in her T&C could safely be replaced with a 3 belt bench seat. Her kids are young so could climb over the seat to access the back row. Her thinking is this would save them some $ now, while they try to prepare for twins, and allow them to save $ to get a Sienna later on. I'm clueless, so any suggestions/info would be great. Thanks!

This can only be done if there is a factory bench option, and she MUST use the factory seat.

I know in my GC manual it says I can move the 50/50 split bench into the second row, so I'm pretty sure you can do that. As long as she has an older van and not one with the stow-n-go.

Ok, she talked to the manufacturer and seems it is possible. she'll just need a factory made bench.
