Unfortunately there aren't any organic meat farmers in my area (well, lamb farmers, but we don't eat lamb)...only produce, and it's only for pick-up weekly, with about a 120 mile round-trip.

Maybe there ARE some, just not listed. I'll keep trying to find some!

Glad to help someone!

I hope to be able to budget for at least two pick-ups a month through the CSA thing from a farm nearby. The 120 mile round-trip pretty much means I can't afford to get fresh produce every single week, but if we can do it every other week, that would be great.

My dentist's mom owns a beef farm, and all her meet is antibiotic-free, ect. I think you have to buy a whole cow though. lol

There are several farmers right here where I live! And a grower's market every Sunday morning, about 5 miles from my house. I had no idea!

Admittedly I'm only quasivegetarian, but the Earth Day celebration at our Farmer's Market had a booth from http://www.farmsanctuary.org/ & it was enough to make me really reconsider buying any meat -- while *I* could never hunt, I would so rather not an animal that was abused during it's life: I'd like to find somewhere that has free range organic meats....
