Infant seat harness question

Parker has a sr32 and dh and I are disagreeing about what to do with the harness. He is currently on the 2nd highest slots, and his shoulders are halfway between that slot and the highest slot. Dh says move it up, I say leave it. I know it should be at or below for rf'ing but I'll admit that it does look like his shoulders are quite a bit above the slot. However when I move them up to the top slots it appears like they are coming from an inch above his shoulders, by the eat lobes. So, leave it well below shoulders or move it up well above shoulders?

Leave it down unless the straps are falling off his shoulders.

Nope they're not falling off. Harness is snug, chest clip is where it should be, and I'm comfortable with it. However, I started second guessing myself when dh started saying we should move it up.

Thanks, Wendy!

when rearfacing, it's fine to leave them until either the straps aren't fitting properly (like falling off or similar) or the shoulders are definitely above the next set of slots.

Remember, there is a reason for them to be below the shoulders... to prevent baby ramping up the seat in a crash.

Is that how it fits in the car? I know DS's sr32 out of the car he's a smig below slot 3, but in the car he's right at if not above.
