Question What are the new car seat regulations for Canada?

I keep seeing these news articles about changes but I cannot find out what the changes are!

I am planning to get pregnant and have child in 2012 and currently have a Graco Safe Seat from my first child that should last until the new baby outgrows it (based on manufacturing date) . I also have a Britax Blvd and a Radian XT that I hope to be able to use as well (expiry date permitting!).


Can anyone tell me what the changes are or where to find them?

All of your current seats are safe for use. :thumbsup: In fact, all seats that are not recalled or expired will continue to be safe even after the new regulations come into place after Jan 1, 2012.

In terms of the nuts and bolts behind the new regs, I'm going to let someone else (preferably Trudy or if someone can dig up Trudy's thread listing the changes that would be super duper) because I will not speak to the new regs without a cheat sheet in front of me. And I don't have it in front of me right now...

But rest assured, your current seats can be used.
