I'm doing the booster seat debate for my DD. She just turned 6 years old this month. She is about 42in tall and 39lbs. She is currently riding in a Britax Decathlon in our secondary vehicle and in the Radian 65 in our primary vehicle and in the nanny car.
My DD is on the top slots for both of these seats, but has some growing room. I think she has at least 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch of growing room in the Decathlon and more in the Radian. My guess is that she has at least another 6 months of growing room in the Decathlon.
She is fine being in a harness seat at this point, even though her twin brother is boostered in the Monterey in the nanny car and in the Turbobooster in our secondary vehicle. He rides harnessed in a Regent in our main car.
So is there any compelling reasons to switch DD to a booster seat or should I just keep her in a harness seat for now? If I go with a booster seat, I probably want to get her a turbobooster on sale at Target this week - hence my need to make a decision now.
Should I just go ahead and buy a turbobooster since it is on sale? I could possibly use it for another child if needed for a playdate (which hasn't been necessary to this point).
