Cybex on RF seat

There is a discrepancy between the European and US Cybex sites on the FAQs. I understand that things are different in different countries, but this is the same exact seat (Solution X-fix).

European:

Can I use the child seat on lateral facing car seats?

It is not permissible to use the child seat on lateral facing car seats.

Can I use the child seat on rearward facing car seats like those found in vans or minibuses?

You can use this child seat on rearward facing car seats as long as the vehicle seat has a homologation for use by adults and a 3 point belt. The headrest of the vehicle seat should not be removed when the child seat is mounted.

US:

Can I use my Booster seat in a rear facing or a sideway facing vehicle seat?

No, the only recommended seat in a vehicle is a rear seat with a three point lap and shoulder seat belt.

So why are they allowed to use it on RF seats and we are not? I do not have a vehicle with RF seats at the moment, but was just wondering.

I *think* the US vehicles with Rear facing seats are lap-belt only with no headrests... It tells you to use lap/shoulder AND the headrest on the Eueopean manual...

As far as I know, NO seats in the US allow use on a rear facing vehicle seat.
