Question Boulevard or True Fit?

Ok, last question for a while (hopefully!)... Since ISOFIX and LATCH doesn't matter, I suppose we'll buy a seat in the US and save us the shipping hassle. So now I'm trying to choose between the Britax Boulevard CS70 and the True Fit Premier. She is currently 6 months, about 15lbs 14oz (50%), and 27.5" (75-90%), and if it means anything, she's been following those percentages since birth. I would like her to be rear-facing until she's 4 years old. ...For me, I think if the TF would have a rear-facing limit of 40lbs, it'd be a no brainer, but I'm wondering if she'll need that extra 5lbs or not. Which would you go for?

According to the CDC growth charts, if she stays at 50%-ile weight, she'll reach 34-35 pounds at around age 3.5. So I'd say there is a pretty good chance she'll outgrow the TF by weight (RF) before age 4. On the other hand, since she is a little tall, if she carries that height more in her torso, she *might* outgrow the boulevard70 by height (rearfacing) before age 4 also. However - when I tried my dd in the BV70 at age 4 yrs 5 months, wearing size 5 shirts, she was just *at* the rearfacing height limit.

So, I'd probably bet on the BV70 if I were you. (Skip the CS unless you're getting it to get a certain cover.) Either way it's a gamble!

ETA: You do know there are other seats that RF to 40# that have taller shells than the Britax seats, right? Any reason you're excluding them? I'm thinking specifically of radians and the Complete Air. I apologize if this has been discussed in a previous thread!

Thanks! I'm now looking at the Complete Air 65 a bit more - I was originally turned off by the large headwings. Would they make it more difficult to see out of? Does the LX make much more of a difference?

Hi.. Nope... most kids don't have a problem with the headwings.. they can lean over and see the windows RF.

LX only difference that it has a base so if you want 3 in a across later on, it might be an issue. However it has a standard recline on the base so it might be easier to use the recline feature. However I think the one without the base is easier to get more upright, IMO.

They don't need to see around the headwings....they are rearfacing, so they can see everything as you drive past it. ;)

Another option is the Evenflo Momentum or Triumph Advance 65--goes a bit taller than the Blvd and has a 40 lbs rearfacing weight limit, BUT both the Radian and the CA will keep a kiddo rearfacing longer.
