single car accident, no child, should I replace Britax marathon?

About a month ago I spun out on ice, hit a curb and telephone pole, hard enough into the curb that I flatted the front passenger tire and popped the passenger rear tire off the rim.

The Marathon is installed FF on the driverside of my 2004 Trailblazer, and DD was not in the car. i didnt even think about the seat needing to be replaced until yesterday:doh:

It probably is in my best interest to replace it but money is super tight. DD will be 4 on 3-30, is 38ish pounds and 37ish inches. I am using the latch system.

suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Harnessing as long as possible is not absolutly nessisary once a child is mature enough to sit properly the enire ride every ride usually around 5-6yo and meet the height and weight for a booster then there is no reason not to booster.

But for now yes you are right on with harnessing:thumbsup:

I would look at the Nautilus harnesses to 65lbs and then turns into a booster to 100lbs

and the Fronteir 85 harnesses to 85lbs and turns into a booster 120lbs

Did you go through insurance for your repairs? If so, call your adjuster and explain the situation. They should replace the seat for you. Ideally they would just reimburse you and you could get whatever you choose -- Maestro, Nautilus, Frontier.

If you need to replace out of pocket, I agree that the Evenflo Maestro sounds perfect for you. It should last your daughter a couple of years before she outgrows it. You will need to follow it up with a dedicated highback booster when the time comes, but those can be relatively inexpensive.
