3 in ford focus?

I did check the three across thread, but did not quite find what I was looking for.

DH has a 2004 Ford Focus and I was wondering if there was any chance of ever getting a 3 across in it without spending a fortune. We always use my van when we go anywhere as a family.

I do know I would likely need to buy at least one seat to even have a chance of this working, so it is just a wondering at the moment.

Sizes in my siggy are mostly correct (#1 is 40 and booster training though).

Seats: 2 Alpha Omegas, 2 HBTB, 1 TF, 1 Maestro and 1 Generations.

Just more of a curiousity at the moment as I do not think DH would agree with spending a lot of money to make this happen when we do NOT need to do it.

I don't see it working with the seats you have. I'm not great about knowing what seats puzzle well, so hopefully someone else can be more helpful than me.

Yeah, I don't think there is much chance at all. Unless I bought 3 brand new seats and we cannot afford that, and DH would have a canary if I did...lol

It may be possible. We had a nanny with a Ford Focus and were able to put 3 seats in the back, it has been about 5 years so I'm foggy on details of what seats.

Do your AOs have the bases removed?

I don't know that you're necessarily going to be able to do it with just the seats you already have - most of them are pretty wide seats. I tried a lot of different combinations in my 2003 Focus, and I'd say that you almost definitely need a Radian in the mix to make it work. But, since you already have the seats, there's no harm in trying. I'd start with the Maestro, the Generations, and one of the convertibles. :twocents:

I';d try an AOe RF in the center, with the maestro generations and turbos on either side. Thats gonna be your best shot, and ifg it doesn't work, I don't think anything you have will work.
I know in my hideous car, I can get TB /RF AOE /TB - and I think you might be able to sub out the meastro or gen for one of the boosters, if you were okay with the almost - 3 being FFing. I can't imagine it working with 2 rearfacing seats that you have.

I've done a three across in an Escort, don't know if it'll be close enough, but I've gotten two Radians and a TB, 2 PW's (old style) and a rf and ff Radian (I think two TB might fit?) two PWs and a Marathon 65, and two PWs and a rf Scenera, but the Scenera was really tight. You might be able to get two TB and the Maestro though. Let us know how it goes and good luck!

I think I will try TB on drivers side, RF AOE in middle and then Maestro on the right.

3yr is already FF in DH's car, but is staying RF in my van.
