TFP-Anyone Else have this problem?

I just bot a TFP for my younger son. Overall, I really like it, but I am having an issue with the LATCH install. The orange strap that keeps the LATCH strap attached to the seat is getting in the way of tightening the seat completely. It is so tight on the LATCH strap that it wrinkles the webbing to such a degree that I cannot tighten it any further. I know I could just cut it off, but I am curious as to whether or not anyone else has this problem, or if it is just my seat.

Also, do any of you actually have the cover snapped back on in the front, because I find it pretty much impossible...

I'd cut the strap. I don't install with LATCH, but I've heard a lot of people cutting it.

I don't open the front cover. There are slits above the lockoffs in the cover.

I didn't have that problem (I got SUCH a tight install!).

The problem I'm having is it seems like I can't get the straps that tight on my baby girl. She's 20lbs, so plenty big. But when I tighten the straps I can fit my whole hand under the straps...not nearly tight enough for my tastes. Any suggestions for that?

she is on the 2nd strap height, if that helps.

Are you tugging like a ratcheting motion, Hershey? It's a tug tug tug to get it tighter.

And where are you checking for tightness? You only check at the shoulder, not at the belly.
