would you turn him ffing?

First let me say I never thought i'd be even considering this but...my son is going to be 3 in early March and is rfing in a true fit. He has always rfed but all of a sudden seems to hate it and wants to be turned around! :/
reasons I am starting to think about answering his requests: His big sister is ffing (harnessed) and sits next to him so he sees her facing the other way and gets frustrated. he is starting to get pretty scared when we drive in the dark that he cant see anyone. I also think it might be starting to make him carsick. Latley he has been screaming and crying when it's time to go in the car and complains his carseat is "too tight!" even when the straps are fine, I think he means that he cant stretch his legs and it makes him angry.
I did turn my daughter at 3 years b/c 3 is kinda my goal age for rfing and also she was near the limit. he's maybe 30 lbs with clothes so I think he could rf well past 3 if he doesnt hit a huge growth spurt, and average ht. just looking for opinions, would you consider turning him around if he's requesting it?

I would be perfectly fine with turning a 3-year-old FF. (I'm also perfectly fine keeling them RF, of course, but at 3 I'm not going to try to talk anyone out of FF.)

:yeahthat: I turned my own son at a little over 3 years. Some of the reason being he was fighting me being RF & wanted to FF. He rode FF in DH's car on occasion, so he knew he could. So I stopped fighting him & turned him. He was SO much happier after I did it & stopped fighting me. 3 was also my goal for RF & we made it. I feel that after age 3 it is a parental/personal decision to make. :twocents:

I agree with PP's. My DS just turned 3 a month ago and is about 30lb. It's getting harder and harder to get him buckled in his MA and I've been tossing around possibly turning him FF (he only has 3lb left anyway).

thanks for the replys! The big thing is he wants to turn now and he isnt quite 3 yet. My goal was 3 but I feel iffy about doing it a little early :/ I guess 9 weeks early isnt too bad and it will make car rides a bit more bearable for everyone!
