Ds3 is starting school next month, and I need to choose a seat for him on the way to school, in a 12 passenger van. This is for on the way to school - they use an actual school bus w/ Safeguard Star's on the way home. Help?
Criteria:
- Lightweight enough to where I can carry it AND an Evenflo Chase (for ds2)while maneuvering 2 kids to the school bus every day.
- Easy to install, as it will have to be installed at my house each morning, uninstalled at school, and then reinstalled by poorly trained drivers.
- Must have high weight harness, as ds3 is a big boy - 38/9 lbs.
- Inexpensive. They leave these seats outside during the day, so it'll get rained on atleast a few times, and I don't want to be pissed that the school is ruining a $$$ seat.
- Flexible. I want a lightweight seat that I could use for the airplane or similar, like the Chase.
Any suggestions? There is the possibility that he'll be doing this bus thing for the next 2.5 yrs, so if at all possible, it'd be nice to get a seat that will last him through it.
