Sorry if this has been discussed--I searched and didn't see it, nor do I remember it being discussed here before.
At a seat check event yesterday my coalition leader was telling us about an advisory from Britax about the lockoffs on the new models of seats. (I'm not sure it's technically an advisory, but it's listed on the SafetyBeltSafe recall list.)
Something about how you're supposed to use both lockoffs, but if that little button-thingy is in the way of one lockoff, you're supposed to send away for some kind of friction thing, presumably to make the other lockoff work better? That only applies to the very first of the new seats made. Then there's another advisory (or whatever) for slightly later seats, because you need to order different instructions. And now for current seats (I don't know the exact date) the lockoffs come with the friction stuff already installed.
Needless to say, I'm confused. Does anyone have more info?
Do the new version still allow you to use one, both, or neither of the lockoffs?
And obviously removing the button is usually an option, I realize. That's beside the point.
