Frontier 85 fabric: Onyx vs. Rushmore?

Hello ~

We have decided to get two Frontier 85's for my 4 year old son and are excited about the new seats! However, I'm having trouble deciding and telling the difference between the Onyx and Rushmore fabrics. I called Britax and they said the Onyx is a bit easier to clean/wipe off. It's a new option for the Fr. 85 though it's been available in their other seats for a long time, I guess?

Does anyone feel that either fabric is obviously the best choice? I think the Rushmore looks a bit nicer but am also interested in what will be easiest to keep clean since we are planning to get the full 9 years out of these seats! :)

Thanks for any ideas and advice you may have!

Personally, I would recommend the Onyx out of those 2. The difference is that the Rushmore has a mesh covering over it and the Onyx is just straight fabric. Does that make any sense? We have the Rushmore and the mesh snags really easily. We also have the Maui Blue, which is the same material as the Onyx. This one is holding up, without the snags, much better.

I have a different Britax seat with the Onyx fabric on it and it is great. My kids have their boots/shoes on it all the time and it hides the dirt really well and doesn't snag. Last time I washed it it didn't look that bad but when I put the cover in the tub and the water turned the color of coke - it was crazy.

I've only seen the Rushmore one in stores but the demo seat was pretty snagged. I'd go with Onyx.
