Another Mazda Tribute question...

I usually have our Radian XTSL in the middle but to accommodate more luggage we temporarily have the car seat behind the passenger side. When the passenger seat is pushed back to allow bit more leg room, the top of the car seat actually touches the head rest of the front passenger seat. I made sure it's not braced against it, just slightly touching it. I can't find it in the vehicle manual. Does anyone know if Mazda allows the car seat to touch the back of the heat rest of front seat?

What year is your mazda, and does it seem to be affecting the airbag sensor?

As long as the passenger airbag indicator is reflecting the correct status for whether or not you have a passenger in the seat, then I wouldn't be worried about the seat touching the way you describe it.
