SK Radian XTSL Highest weight limit for RF?

I have this particular seat, and so far I love it. I know the RF weight limit for it is 45 pounds (and my son is nowhere near that). However I was wondering are there any sold in the United States that have a higher RF weight limit? Also, does anyone have a list of carseats that RF to at least 40 pounds? The reason I ask is because I have a friend who has a 2 month old baby boy, and she asked me if I could possibly find out the carseat names/brands, RF weight limits, and their prices. Thank you for any and all answers.

Hiya..

Nope, the Radian XTSL and Radian 80SL is the highest.. 45 lbs

Graco My Ride- RF 40 FF 65
Evenflo Triumph Advance 65- RF 40 FF 65
Complete Air (50 lb version) RF 40 FF 50 (tallest shell height of all)
Complete Air 65- RF 40 FF 65 (tallest shell height of all)

Prices depend on store... some stores are expensive, some stores are cheap.. online as well, best hunt for the best price around :)

How much does the baby boy weigh?

The Radian has the highest rear-facing weight in the US. You would have to import an "illegal" Swedish seat to get a higher rf limit. The following have a 40 lb limit: Graco My Ride; Safety 1st Complete Air; Scenera 40 RF; the new Britax convertibles.

The Radian 65 also has a 40 pound weight limit.
The Complete Air has a 40 inch height limit for rear facing, and the Scenera has a 36 inch limit I believe. Some people are comfortable disregarding that height limit, some are not as it is going against manufacturer's instructions to do so.

Thank you ladies. I will let her know. Her baby boy is only 7 weeks old, so it'll be a while before he is in a bigger seat. However she has two older kids (ages 19 years and almost 18 years), and when her kids were toddlers, people were still turning their children forward facing at 20 pounds or 1 year old. Back then people were doing it that way, at least that's what i was told. In fact when I told her about how safe it was to keep them Rf for as long as possible, she didn't believe me at first. She kept insisting that the old way was still the best way. Eventually she started believing me, and said, "Things are so different these days." Yep they are. Anyway she asked me to get a list of which carseats RF to highest weights. I thank you all for your answers.

Suggest that she wait a while, and wait to see how her baby grows. If she has a long skinny baby, the TrueFit would last longer than any of the 40 pound options. The TrueFit "only" has a 35 pound limit, but since it is the tallest seat for RFing, will last many kids longer. Even seats with a 35 pound limit aren't substandard. 35 pounds for most kids is 3-4 years old.
