we have full coverage from safety 1st...do they automatically cover carseats in an accident? or do i have to pay extra? DH wont pay extra for it..but he dosnt know how much the seats cost

car seats and insurance?

My son and I were in a car accident last year. We have State Farm and had no problem getting them to replace my son's seat. We didn't have to pay anything extra. I do know that sometimes people have trouble getting their insurance company to replace the seats. Sometimes you have to talk to someone higher up. Also, car seat manuals say that a car seat must be replaced in any accident (for Graco and Evenflo?) and to follow the NHTSA rules for a "minor" crash to determine if the seat needs to be replaced for other brands.

good i hope i never need too..but i will put up a fuss if they say they wont replace them!
