I have a brand new combi shuttle, and also a TFP otw. im wondering if i should just sell the shuttle on craigslist to re-coup some money for the TFP and just use the TFP from birth? or will i really miss having a carrier for the 1st few months? i have a bad back and HATE carrying the seats..but i also like to baby wear..both my other kids HATED the carrier seat and i ended up holding them in the store once we were inside anyway..but who knows maybe this baby wont mind being in the carseat for a quick trip? haha HELP!!!

The TFP fits newborns well, so it's up to you. I rarely wished I had an infant seat. Many people don't use them. Many people do. Up to you.

You could always keep the shuttle for a while and see if you like it. Then sell it when baby is a little older.

The only time I got any use out of having an infant seat was when it was cold last winter. It was a lot easier to get her in the seat inside and keep her warm. other than that, it rarely ever left the car.

I used the TFP from birth with an April baby and liked it. There were a few times in the early weeks when an infant seat would have been nice to have, but I can probably count those on one hand.

I told myself that had DS been more of a winter baby (though this is Edmonton, so when is it not winter?) I would have gotten an infant seat. Now that I'm more comfortable baby-wearing, I'm about 90% sure I'll go with a convertible again for number 2, whenever that is.
