broken foam on older parkway?? Do I need a new booster and which one??

We have an older style parkway, that we love. I was adjusting the seat up and noticed a crack in the foam in the headwing. When I took the cover off to investigate, a piece about 6 inches or bigger is completely broken off. I put it back in place and put the cover over it, but I'm guessing we need to replace the seat??? Does britax replace the foam?

Now, my next question is...if I'm going to have to replace this seat, what is a similar seat. We tried the Parkway SG, and my son didn't like the little buckle thing that hooks on the seatbelt. He's just turned 8, 50 pounds and 48 inches tall. He likes cushy seats. We have a monterrey that he hates, that I plan to sell to fund a new seat if needed. I think it was just too big for him.

Thanks if you followed all of that!

If you still have the foam, you can tape it back in place. Do not glue it, as the glue may melt the foam. Even if it doesn't, the glue will leave a hard ridge that won't compress the same as the rest of the foam in a crash. If you prefer to replace the foam, Britax might be able to do that, at your expense (since it's out of warranty).

The crotch strap is optional on the Parkway SG.

You can buy new foam at britaxusa.com. BTDT. In fact, Piper's cover is holding her foam together, again.

so the crotch strap is optional on the new parkway? I researched them a bit when they first came out, but didn't realize it was optional?
Thanks for the quick replies

Very true! I'm also on the look out for a similar seat, as my dd turns 6 in Feb. and I've promised she can move to a booster then. We have a monterrey, but neither of the kids like it. Trying to find something "plush" like the older parkways.
THANKS!!
