Question Cleaning puke from a non-removeable harness Radian

Anyone have any ideas? I have an older Radian, that unfortunately got, um... yucky. Apparently we have a stomach bug in the house

DH took the kids out when I was at work, and on the way to wherever he was going, DD puked. A LOT. Um, it's bad. I got the cover off, and the crotch strap out (it's soaking... a lot), but the straps are pretty covered. And it's right where the harness goes into the plastic, on the corner. Is there ANY way anyone can think if of how to clean it? I can't stand to think about what'll happen if there's any residual yuck in there (thank God it's winter and not August...).

Oh, and it's the supercool cover. NOT the easiest to clean either with those little holes.

TIA guys!

I would just keep sponging and sponging with warm water with few drops of baby soap or ivory dishsoap then follow with a sponging of clear water. I'm not afraid to get the harness wet as long as it's not soaking/sitting in water. Dry the harness as best as you can with a towel and let it air dry. As for the crotch strap - I wouldn't be afraid to run it under the faucet with warm water and sponging it off w/ the soapy water as well. Water is better than stomach acid. I've also heard of techs who make a paste of baking soda and brush it on w/ a toothbrush, but I'd be more comfortable w/ mild soap and water than baking soda. Sorry you have the yuckies at your house! Hope your dd feels better soon!

I'd try wipes and then a little bit of water and a little dish soap.

I could be wrong, but I don't think you're supposed to soak the crotch buckle with the plastic where you hook the buckles into.

It's perfectly fine to do, and stated as the way to clean the crotch buckle by many manufacturers.

I'm mostly soaking to get the chunks off (sorry TMI). What about it it gets down in the crevice? I guess that's what I'm worried about, since I can't see in there.
