Graco Harness Straps

I'm curious if anyone else feels this way. I know how popular Graco seats are, from birth to booster. But the straps bother me. They just feel flimsy and cheap, more like the nylon you'd find on a backpack or something. Whereas the straps on my Keyfit look and feel more like a seat belt.

I've been on the hunt for a nice seat once she's out of the Keyfit. I've tested her in pretty much every seat sold in stores. She seems so comfy nestled in the My Ride. I like the high weight limits and it's a good price too and seems to have good sales and people seem to rave about it.

But I can't seem to get past the fact that the straps feel cheap. Am I the only one? Are Graco harnesses just as safe?

Just as safe. :) I think most straps are made by an external company (Chicco included). And they all need to meet the same testing. They're just made to different specifications for different seats within different companies.

I have had many different kinds of seats and I have never felt graco had flimsy harness straps.. Actually I don't think I have ever seen that on any seat..

I would have no hesitation using the MyRide. There's no evidence to suggest the heavier straps are safer, all else being equal.
