Question Bundle Me

I am confused about this.....I was under the impression that the Bundle Me was unsafe. I came across this article (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/439521/winter_coats_and_car_seat_safety_what.html?cat=25) car seat safety and winter coats and the author states the Bundle me is safe (pg 2-which doesn't necessarily mean anything....people are wrong all of the time). But when I clicked the Bundle Me link, it took me to Toys R Us and the product page states it has been crash tested and meets requirements.

So what's the real deal?

There are no requirements for aftermarket products. They can throw it into a seat and say it was crash tested. The bottom line is that manufacturers state to not use any product with the seat that did not come with it.

The major problem with this product is that it interferes with proper use of the harness and adds bulk under the child. This allows the harness to be much to loose on the child.

It's marketing. The crash test standards don't apply to them. There are no standards for aftermarket products. I can take it, throw it against the wall, and call it crash tested.
