Flying.... which seats?

OK, so we're flying from NS (home) to Trenton Ont. for xmas. We're flying CFAIR (Canadian Forces Air Line) on a Boeing 737... these are the seats I have:

FrontierXT
Apex65
Chase
Chase

There are other seats, but both kids are too big

Which seats will work?
Both Kids are FF (Lexi usually in the Apex, and Joey in the Frontier)
Joey is JUST a smidge below the top slot of the Chase, and Lexi has about 2 inches in the chase...

Recomendations?

How do I install on a plane?

I've never flown before, advice? Special Needs mommies, especially!!

Airplane installation is generally just like in a vehicle with a lap-only belt. Instructions are in your carseat owner's manuals. ;) Because of where the seatbelt release is, open belt paths are easier to deal with.

I'm thinking the Apex may be too wide to use reasonably. Even with other seats, often you have to leave the armrest up between the seats. On many (but not all) planes, the armrest next to the window can be moved, but only if you know where to push a button to release it. Ask a flight attendant for help if you need it.

If J still fits then and hasn't had a growth spurt or something, I'd probably take the two Chases because they are lighter.

If the kids fit, I'd take the 2 Chases. It's the narrowest of the bunch. It's actually narrower than the 2 seats I've flown with (Blvd and TF).

I have no idea how the Chase installs, but if the belt path isn't open, ask for seat belt extenders, then you can adjust the belt so that you can reach the buckle easily outside the belt path.

The chase is fairly open in the back, but I'll make sure its good before I go. Do you think the Frontier would fit? Yes its heavier, but its the seat J is used to, and I think he might to better with that bit of firmiliarity...kwim?

The XT is the same as the 85, right? Looking at the spreadsheet measurements, it's no wider than the Blvd, which fits just fine. It is narrower than the EFTA, TF, and MyRide, which people use for flying commonly. So it seems it would fit . . .

2nd poster mentions flying with a Frontier 85 with no problems, but did need the extender. :)

You'll be more squished next to the Frontier, and it's heavier, but it will probably fit with the armrest up.
