    one more thing

I was told at the store that I could take the HUGS system off of my Britax Decathlon. Does this lower the safety of the seat? I took them off because they are almost as long as my daughter's torso and semed to get in the way of the pads that are good for comfort factor. Should I put them back on? What is their purpose?

They can be removed for rearfacing, but MUST be on for forward facing (the seat will fail at higher weights without them, they are an integral part of the harness system and preventing head injury).

If she's RF, just don't lose them, so you can put them back on when FF
