Does anyone want to post if they see some good deals in Canada?

I am so jealous hearing about all the ones going on in the US and not being able to get them - would make things SO much easier if car seats were good in both countries.

More specifically I am looking for a seat I can use rf-ing on a tall 30lb 2.5 yr old. I need something for the babysitter to use as she drives her son to school most days when it is cold out so I need something for them to use.

Would it be worth a TF for this case? It just makes me nervous that she is already close to the weight limit.

FWIW we have a radian in our car but would REALLY prefer to spend less than 150$ on the seat. We have a scerena that was used as a spare but she is too tall for it rear facing and I don't want to use it forward.

TIA

For your budget and requirements, I would definitely suggest checking out the CA mentioned above. It goes RF to 40 lbs and FF to 50 lbs. It has 18-18.5 THS and has a no rethread harness height adjuster (great for DCP for use on multiple children). TRU/BRU has free shipping but make sure you check the installation is good in the vehicle which you plan to have it installed.

I'm not sure I would get the TF based on how close the current weight is for the child and the RF limit on the TF.

Another seat you could consider is the MyRide (RF 40/FF 65/17" THS).

Also, is this child tall in the torso or legs? Can you get the seated torso length and post it?

Thanks for this, I ended up grabbing a CA at CT on the weekend. I currently have both the complete air and radian in the car (it is too cold out there to go mess with the seats any more, lol).

I definitely don't like it as much as the radian - the darn head wings are so big it is hard to get her into the seat without bumping her head (I will eventually try to put it in the middle and see if that helps as she could climb in). Our radian would honestly be PERFECT if only I could get the stupid thing to sit upright enough for us to comfortably sit in the front seats - because of this it is on the passenger side but it is still fairly uncomfortable to sit in the passenger seat and I am only 5'2 (but am also claustrophobic).

Though the install was pretty easy on the CA (pretty similar to the scerena) and it is nice it sits up more - it does look like there is MUCH less leg room - the first comment my sister made when she saw dd in it.
