Car safety songs?

A gal I know on another board asked if anyone knows of any songs (children's or otherwise) that sing about car safety, car seats, using seat belts, etc.

Any leads? I figure if they exist, someone here would know.

Maybe Brite Music? I know they have a saftey one. I also know my little brother participated in a play thing through the school District when he was little and they Called it Saftey Town where they learned traffic rules and such.

I have 2 files for teachers/parents with safety seat lyrics put to traditional nursery rhymes: for 4-8 year olds (I could email them, but I don't have the URLs) + there are a couple threads in the forum about Slum Villages rap for bigger kids, too....

I sent you the email -- after looking at the files again, only 1 has lyrics (the other is paper/pencil activities)

My mom and DH are baby boomers and always singing...Buckle Up for Safety Buckle Up, Keep your seatbelts fastened always buckle up, be sure it's snug give an extra tug...something something something...buckle up! I'd LOVE to find that original ad on youtube sometime (I guess it was a PSA back in the day?).

Anyway, good luck, I just had to throw that in, since they are always singing it to my kids, lol.

I know that one! I didn't know all the words so I sang it to my kids like this

"Buckle up for safety, buckle up, buckle up for safety, always buckle up! Buckle up your mom, buckle up your dad, buckle up the kids, always buckle, buckle up!"

I'll have to put yours and mine together and teach it to my grandkids!

the Va Department of Health CPS Week folder had a bunch of CPS lyrics to old kids songs, here's a link to the whole packet of info, the songs are the last couple of pages.

We use this one with Joyjoy and I teach it to the kids that come through my inspections:
“BUCKLE, BUCKLE UP”
(to the tune of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”)
