I need comparison statistics from credible sources for US children who die or who are seriously injured aged 1-4 (I think I have this, see below), and for Swedish children aged 1-4 who die or who are seriously injured aged 1-4.
I've been reading and researching for weeks, but the translating program I'm using is making everything take a very long time. I PM'ed Adventuredad last night, but I'm kinda in crunch time with my research paper right now. I've got everything done for the paper except this. I just can't find what I need.
I spoke with my math teacher and she said I need more information, than what I was able to find. She suggested using ratios for comparison in the paper.
I have this: http://www.cdc.gov/safechild/images/CDC-ChildhoodInjury.pdf
Pg's 33 and 98
So, for example, my math teacher suggested rounding and using ratios, so in the US, nonfatal unintentinal injury rates due to transportation related injuries among children would be 7 in every 1000. I need similar data out of Sweden. I found their population, it's just over 9.3 million. I also found that from 1999 to 2006 in Sweden, only 4 kids were killed in rear facing seats (fire and drowning after a MVA was excluded, there were a few more deaths from those), but those kids were 0-3 years old.
Please help?
