Making room for grandma in the backseat.

My mother and cousin are coming for a visit in March 2011.

I need to make enough room for one of them (mom is smaller so it will likely be her).

I drive a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. My DD is in a GN on the passenger side (seatbelt installation). My DS is RF on the driver side, in a TF, latch installation.

I will need to move DS to the middle, with a seatbelt.

We've done that before and it was a little tight.

I could move DD to a booster (that I'd need to buy). We want a latchable booster because there is no way we'd always remember to buckle the empty seat.

I could move DS to another seat that we already own (Marathon or Recaro Como).

Any suggestions?

I'd try to keep the RF child outboard and the FF child in the center if at all possible if you do end up having to use a booster (as long as your center seat has a lap/shoulder belt). You might need to play with the seats to see which ones puzzle best. Try installing the outboard seat with the seatbelt because that allows you to get it a little bit closer to the door.
