Am I just being too picky?

Just got my Ventura XTSL in the mail today. I love it sofar (although I haven't tried to install yet- DH is at work with the car.)

But I'm a little bummed. The fabric isn't straight. And it's pretty noticeable, especially on the headrest. I mean, geez- part of me feels a little petty for being frustrated over such a small thing like the fabric not being straight. But then the other part of me says if I'm going to pay freaking $300 for this thing, and the fabric has SQUARES on it, they darn well better pay attention and sew it on straight!!!

It would bug me, things like that just 'jump' out at me and then that's 'all' I can see. I understand your upset

No I would be calling them up and want a cover that had it sewn straight. But I am obsessive about things like that.

I probably wouldn't call. But if you called and politely asked for a new cover I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Its a brand new seat that's expensive. If you want a perfect cover, you should get one.

In the past I've often called to offer 'constructive criticism' on something that I've received. Never once have they refused to replace it. :)

That's the way I approached the replacement of the high chair when Ethan almost choked to death in it; as livid as I was, I realized that me calling to yell and scream and cry was not going to change their response and was just going to make me look like an idiot.

So I called to tell them that their current design was rather unsafe, and related my story. They not only replaced the seat for free, but they paid for any/all medical expenses related to his choking, gave me a free voucher, etc. :)

If I am paying $300 for a car seat, I'd expect it to have the fabric sewn on straight. I'd give them a call, maybe they will send you a new cover.

If it bothers you, then you should call to see what they'll do for you. It's an expensive seat and you should be happy with your purchase.

That would drive me nuts! I have a Ventura cover but haven't ever used it. Now I'm curious if mine crooked.

I would call. Worst case scenario, they do nothing and you are no worse off then you are right now! Good Luck!
