Strap fraying on Frontier 85

I noticed my DD's FR85 seemed difficult to tighten lately so I took the seat out and looked it over to see if something was catching somewhere. Could not find anything wrong with it (did not take it apart), but I did notice there is quite a bit of fraying on the adjuster strap. We have 4 of the same seat (all purchased within a week of each other) and none of the other 3 have this problem. I'm thinking I'll try to call Britax tomorrow but wondered if anyone has any ideas of what's going on? Thanks! :)

Photos of the bottom of the seat. When the harness is tightened, the frayed part is inside the seat where you can't see (between where it is now and coming out the front of the seat).

Wow, that is definitely fraying (usually pics are actually just fuzzing at the edges). I hope britax responds appropriately and gets the issue resolved for you.

ETA - I would probably push for a new seat since you don't know if there's something on the seat not quite right that's causing it to fray like that.

Thanks, I sent Britax my photos and am waiting to hear back. Thankfully I could snag the seat from DH's car to use while I am waiting to get it repaired/replaced - I'm not real comfortable with her riding in it as is.

Really, nobody else has seen this? :shrug-shoulders:
