I am so sorry to hear that! Hopefully all the children will adjust fine.

Do you guys have long before you're out for summer? Schools around here end May 23rd.

Wow. Glad it happened at night. That could of been really bad. I mean it's bad enough the school & all the stuff burned...but fortunately, those can be replaced/rebuilt.

The photos on the web look alot better than the actual building does. A bunch of windows exploded out in the building and all the exit doors are smashed because of fire fighters trying to get in. They won't let the teachers in the school. Administrators said the whole upstairs is black the floor upstairs in one section sank and roof is caving in, plus water damage and a mess on the first floor. The fire marshall will be here on Sunday and the architect and engineer are on their way from Scranton now. They have posted police at the school tonight so noone trys to go in and snoop around.

We have 8 weeks of school left. Books and supplies are smoke damaged. We're playing it by ear right now. Lyndsey's teacher called her today to let her know everything will be ok and they will get the class back together soon. I was worried they would split up the classes and ship the students out to other schools. Lyndsey would freak if they did that.

Hubby says everything will be ok. He's trying to figure out what they are going to do with lesson plans, scheduling etc.

Wow, hope they get things figured out quickly. There was a classroom that was torched in one of the schools up here and they brought in counsellors for the students and staff and I think they set up a portable classroom until all the repairs were done...but that was just one classroom. That was really nice of your daughter's teacher to call.

Oh wow. At least no one got hurt. It looks like they've figured out a location for the rest of the year, which is good.
