Newborn in radian?

Fluff really. DH and I are having the #3 convo.

I (stupidly!) said that there is NOTHING we would need to buy for a newborn, as we still have all of DS's stuff and DD will be booster ready in 6-12mths time, so a new baby could have her radian.

Wish I had not said that, as I love to buy new seats (don't we all?

) and have been swooning over the maxi cosi cabriofix since DS was new.

Soooo would you have a problem with a radian for a newbie?

Brought my third home in one. Many (not all but many) newborns fit great in it from birth, especially now that the comfort foam lowers the slots an extra 1/2 inch or so (they didn't have that when mine was a newbie!) Especially with the infant insert-- it keeps them positioned right so they don't slump, and the innermost slot is closer than some infant seats' crotch strap slots, so they don't usually need a rolled cloth at the crotch even.

The radian is so big you might have a hard time finding enough room to install it at the correct angle for a newborn. At least that's what I've heard. It sounds like a good reason for a new seat to me!

I used a Radian with a newborn

Mikah fit great! He was around 8lbs at 2 days old. I can find pics if needed
