I was outside with my neighbor and she calls me over to her van to show me the new carseats she got for her new minivan. I look in and there were THREE Radians across her third row! She only has two kids so this was a surprise for me. She said that she'll be able to use them for her daycare kids. AND...she also got a new MA for her almost 4-year-old.

This is the neighbor that a year ago had her just turned 3-year-old and her 6-year-old in Turbo Boosters. Both kids are very skinny. So in the last year she's bought 3 Radians, 2 MAs, and 1 Apex! And she's convinced that keeping her kids harnessed for as long as possible is the way to go. :D

I know! I'm jealous. And curious-I want to see if the Radian will fit in my van. But, I know it took a while to install them and I don't want her to uninstall one just to satisfy my curiosity.

Have you tried it in the third row? I have the 50/50 split. Does it work okay with the forward of the bight buckles? Again, this is just my curiosity-I have no plans to buy a Radian at the moment.

I can get an acceptable install in my 3rd row 50/50 split. It's definitely not a rock solid install but it is less than 1" of movement.

If you read through the entire link that was posted, you'll notice that it does not install FF in an '03 captains chair. I'm pretty sure they were more contoured than the '02's and they are way more contoured than the '04 and newer models.

Yes, I got a very good install in the 3rd row, all positions. I had to twist the female part of the buckle down 2 or 3 times to get the buckle away from the edge of the belt path, but it was pretty solid once I did that. I love that the Radian is narrow enough for people to still sit on both sides.

Hi again Jenn - I am getting together with my friend that has the 03 Caravan this weekend - I am going to try to install the Radian in her car. Bet I won't be able to based on your experiences though!

Weird that they would change the seat for just one year. I do like the seats in my '02 better than the new ones. So much more comfortable.

Thanks for the info. Good to know that it fits in all my seating positions.
