Help me find jeans for DD?

DD was wearing Circo slim jeans for the longest time. Then slowly we had to start letting out the adjustable waist on them... and now she can't fit into the slims anymore. I picked up a pair of the size 6 jeans for her but we need to adjust the waist on them, and she's been complaining/crying about the buttons on the adjustable waistband. We have tried putting an undershirt/tank top on her and tucking it in, but the thing is where the buttons lie are right on her bony hips.

I really need to get her a pair of jeans or two... and it looks like adjustable-waist ones aren't going to work for us. Any suggestions for elastic-banded jeans in a size 6 that might run a little on the skinny side? TIA!

ETA: We've also tried Carter's and Old Navy's brands, which have adjustable waists, with no luck.

Have you tried the boys' jeans at Target? I put some of DS' old Rustler (I think that's the brand) on DD and loved them - in fact, when I bought the kids some jeans at Target last week, I looked at the girls' jeans but bought her the Rustlers instead! They have an adjustable waist but fit differently than the girls. I think they also have a slim in one of their styles without an adjustable waist, but I could be misremembering.

So she doesn't need slims anymore or does need a slimmer cut and just can't have pants that have buttons on the inside like the adjustable waist?

Yeah, she doesn't need slims anymore... but needs regular-sized jeans that run a bit narrow (since she hates adjustable waists), if that makes sense.

I bought her a pair of these today and they fit her perfect! They're cheap and definitely not going to be super-durable, but they fit her and she thinks they're comfortable. So it looks like I found my own answer!
