the Maxi Cosi Rodi. Who has experience on it? What's the word on it? I'm thinking ahead, as I've realized I've got a car seat shuffle coming up. I realized this morning that ds's Marathons will be expiring next winter, and I figured we'd put him in dd's Frontiers, and get her some dedicated boosters. I'm considering a few, but I don't know a lot about the Maxi Cosi.

Here are a few links to reviews from carseatblog.

All I know is that is it one of the few boosters that start at 30lbs and has one of the lower standing height limit (57" compared to others at 63").

Twins mom has them for her kiddos.

ETA: how tall is she and how much does she weigh?

also, here is the link to kids fitting in the Rodi's. http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=122646

Might I suggest for you to start booster training when you are getting closer to buying a booster? If she meets the requirements.

The frontier makes a great booster. Then you can find out if she's mature enough to handle a BPB and you still have the option of putting her back in he harness if need be.

I have the Maxi Cosi XR for Joy. I love it and I hate it at the same time.

The good:
~ The cup holder seriously rocks. I mean it. BEST. DESIGN. EVER.
~ It's easy to assemble.
~ The kids say it's comfortable.
~ It doesn't tip when going around corners or fall apart when you move it.

The bad:
~ The belt guides? Yuck. They're very tight; it can be a challenge to thread the belt webbing through, and at the wrong angle it doesn't retract properly.
~ The seat requires the vehicle seatback to be above the midpoint of the child's head. This means if you don't have a high seatback or headrest, in some states you would be violating the law to use it in your vehicle.
