The person is looking for another seat for their almost 3 y.o. who is 40" tall with 15" torso and 40lbs. She is looking at the GN, Britax Frontier 85. She has also consider the firt Frontier. I figured since they are expecting another kiddo and she is currently in the BV no need to get a convertible seat for kiddo in question. Which seat would you suggest?

Probably not the original Frontier. I'd choose the GN over the FR80.

If she has the funds, I'd go for the FR85, but that's just because I want one really bad, But with her kiddo's stats, I'd probably just go for the GN and call it good. It's a great seat and installs well, and I don't think her kiddo would need that extra growing room that the FR85 provides. Maybe put the extra money saved from not buying a FR85 and put it towards a new seat for baby (or not).

That's my honest opinion. :)

The BV generally doesn't fit newborns well. Do they have another seat for the baby until he/she fits the BV?

If she jumps really fast, Diapers.com is having a 45% off Britax sale. See these threads for more details: Here and Here.

I got a Frontier 85 for $153. :)
